AUTOGRAPHED CSX2286 Driven by Dan Gurney at LeMans '65

This is a high quality photo reprint of an archive photo showing Gurney coming out of the Mulsanne straight at the 1965 24 Hours of LeMans, autographed by Gurney.

Peter Brock tells the story of CSX 2286 as the Coupe with "one of the most interesting non-race histories of the six Coupes built by Shelby American. Being the earliest serial number one would think it was the first Coupe built, but it was actually the last car completed! The bare chassis for CSX 2286 arrived via air freight from the UK along with CSX 2287 in Venice California in late 1963. As CSX 2287 was closest to the shop door it became the prototype, while CSX 2286 was given the less glamorous, but more important, job of being the chassis template for any succeeding Coupes should the prototype prove worthy."
